Hikarigaoka Yosakoi

Mid July (2019 13th/14th). Hikarigaoka Yosakoi in Nerimaku definitely is a somewhat underrated yosakoi event. It’s quite a big thing with a lot of teams performing all day from 11am to 5pm on one stage and two streets in Hikarigaoka Park, there is an extensive food stand matsuri area and a very relaxed not too crowded (but still… it’s Tokyo) but genki atmosphere. As it is not listed on the big englishspeaking websites on Tokyo events it appears to be off the beaten track but it is easy to reach and definitly a not to miss yosakoi event in Tokyo.

Location: Hikarigaoka Park, at Hikarigaoka Station (Oedo Line)
