Koenji Awa Odori

24th+25th August. Maybe the biggest Awa-Odori event in Tokyo. If you can stand the million visitors head for Koenji station and search for a place to watch along the street between Koenji station and Shinkoenji Metro Station. The event begins at 5pm and will stop at 8pm sharp. In case you're afraid of such a massive event, Shimokitazawa Awa Odori might be an alternative. Otherwise be prepared, arrive early and enjoy the area around Koenji station, grab some food and have your picknick sheets ready to get a first-row place at the streets.

Location: Where the dancers exactly parade will also be shown at the venue but generally speaking head south from Koenji station on the street that links Koenji with Shin-Koenji Metro station.
